Staff at California State Prison, Los Angeles (LAC), recently received tangible appreciation from Mount Tamalpais College.

To show their appreciation, the college sponsored two food trucks to satisfy the appetites of first, second, and third watch LAC staff.
Jody Lewen, Mount Tamalpais president, oversaw the event, which also included more than 3,000 care packages for the incarcerated population.
Many staff expressed their gratitude. Warden RC Johnson and Chief Deputy Warden Donald Ulstad presented President Lewen with a Warden’s Challenge Coin and a Chief Deputy Warden’s Challenge coin.
The college provides educational opportunities to the incarcerated population. (Learn more about the college.)
