California Medical Facility (CMF) reported the passing of Correctional Officer Ryan Pettigrew on June 11, 2021.
He began his CDCR career in July 2001 at the Richard A. McGee Correctional Training Center. In October of that year, he reported for duty at San Quentin State Prison.
In September 2002, he transferred to California Medical Facility, where he remained until his passing.
According to a memo issued by acting Warden Daniel E. Cueva, the two-decade department veterans “was a highly respected, well-loved member of the CMF family. Our deepest condolences are extended to the family as they mourn the loss of their loved one. He will be greatly missed.”
