Once again, CDCR and CCHCS are giving back in a big way via Our Promise: California State Employees Giving Back at Work. Through voluntary payroll deductions, staff can support a variety of nonprofit organizations of their choice.
“Even though we are spread across the state geographically, I know we are all connected as a CDCR family and desire to help your communities,” CDCR Secretary Kathleen Allison said.
In years past, the Our Promise team has held information fairs and guest speakers to highlight various charities. But, due to necessary COVID-19 precautions, this year’s campaign will once again be completely virtual. Stay tuned to Inside CDCR and our social media platforms for videos and stories about Our Promise.
The CDCR/CCHCS campaign runs through October 15, but you can learn more about Our Promise any time at www.ourpromiseca.org.
Also, make sure to check out Cal Employee Connect, a secure resource for state workers to access their paycheck information, leave balances, and more. It’s also where you can find the Our Promise portal should you choose to make a one-time or ongoing donation.
