California State Prison, Corcoran, reported the passing of Sergeant Marcelino Muniz on Sept. 28, 2021.
Marcelino began his CDCR career in April 2007, at the Richard A. McGee Correctional Training Center. He reported to California State Prison, Corcoran, in August 2007, where he remained until his passing. He was a Correctional Officer for over 10 years then promoted to Sergeant in 2017.
“Many of us knew Marcelino both personally and professionally. He was a good friend, a good man, and a good human being. Our deepest condolences are extended to the Muniz family as they mourn the loss of their loved one,” said Warden Ken Clark.
Services were held October 13-14, 2021.
