The incarcerated population at Correctional Training Facility (CTF) donated over $40,000 to Special Olympics Northern California – the largest donation ever received by the non-profit from fundraising efforts led by incarcerated persons.
The CTF incarcerated population raised the money in May with a donation drive and food sale to benefit Special Olympics.
Since 2018, CTF has rallied in support of Special Olympics of Northern California. The non-profit organization provides year-round training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports. The athletes are children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
From 2018-2021, the incarcerated population at CTF has raised and donated approximately $65,633 for the non-profit.
