Services for Correctional Officer Ericka England, who worked at CSP-Los Angeles County (LAC), have been announced. Officer England began her career with CDCR on May 31, 1997, as a cadet at Richard A. McGee Correctional Training Center. Upon graduating from the Academy as a correctional officer, she reported to LAC on July 14, 1997, and had been employed there since.

Officer England was tragically killed November 28, 2021, along with four of her grandchildren in Lancaster.

The department is deeply saddened by this tragic event and will continue to send all of the support needed to LAC staff, as well as Officer England’s family, friends, and loved ones. Officer England spent many honorable years serving the people of California and will be greatly missed.

On December 14, a procession/escort departed Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner in Los Angeles. Officer England was taken to the Inglewood Mortuary. She was saluted by the LAC Honor Guard.

Funeral services will be held December 28 at 11 a.m. at The Tabernacle, 321 N. Eucalyptus Ave., Inglewood. Burial will be at Inglewood Cemetery following the funeral services.
