Messages of gratitude at High Desert

High Desert prison incarcerated people with a gratitude tree project.
The Gratitude Tree at High Desert State Prison.

The incarcerated population at High Desert State Prison expressed gratitude through messages of hope.

The Gratitude Tree represented a physical opportunity for participants to express appreciation of life, learning, sobriety and second chances.

The symbolism of the falling leaves reminds participants of how beautiful it is to let go of our old self, ego and stresses.

Letting go allows participants to openly welcome growth, clarity and appreciation of slowing down and silence.
