Correctional Officer Matthew Culver passed away May 2, 2022.
He began his CDCR career as a cadet at the RA McGee Correctional Training Center in October 2005.
After graduating, he was appointed to Salinas Valley State Prison.
In April 2007, he transferred to Pleasant Valley State Prison, where he remained until his passing.
“Matthew will be greatly missed by all who worked with him. Please keep the Culver family in your thoughts and prayers,” according to a statement issued by Pleasant Valley State Prison.
Memorial services were held May 14 in Coalinga.
