Bill Glass Ministries offer hope at Avenal prison

Over 60 Bill Glass Ministries staff and volunteers brought messages of hope those incarcerated at Avenal State Prison.

The May 14 event consisted of morning and afternoon sessions covering all six facilities. Some of the events featured motivational speakers such as Andrew Gavin.

Gavin, a former Major League Baseball player with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports and Fitness Administration, demonstrated feats of strength. He inflated a hot water bottle as easily as blowing up a balloon, and bent a metal horseshoe into the shape of a heart.

Also present were 12 motorcycles, a 1966 Chevrolet convertible and a 1963 Chevrolet Bel Air sedan.

The incarcerated at Avenal prison braved the heat to receive the messages of hope and community outreach from Bill Glass Ministries.
