June 6 is National Higher Education Day. Did you know CDCR provides face-to-face or correspondence college opportunities to almost 15,000 incarcerated students?
We are proud to be a national leader in face-to-face college programs. Four-year, in-person degree programs are currently offered at four institutions with more programs expected to come on line soon. Higher education college programs include:
- California State Prison, Los Angeles County (LAC) works with Cal State Los Angeles
- Folsom State Prison and Mule Creek State Prison teams with California State University, Sacramento
- California Rehabilitation Center has joined with Pitzer College.
