Lisa Gonzalez, a retired correctional officer from the Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison (SATF), passed away June 13, 2022.
She began her career with the department on May 31, 1997, at the Richard A. McGee Correctional Training Center.
After graduating the academy, she reported to Valley State Prison in July 1997.
Two years later, Gonzalez transferred to SATF, where she remained until retiring in September 2011.
She is survived by her son and daughter as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gonzalez is also survived by by her mother, sister, brother and many nieces and nephews.
Viewing and rosary is today, June 20, from 2 to 6 pm at Webb Sanders Funeral Home in Lindsay. Services will be June 21 at 10 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lindsay.
