Retired Correctional Officer Mary Ann Stockton passed away June 23, 2022. She began her career at Corcoran State Prison as a medical tech assistant in March 2000. Later the same year, she transferred to Avenal State Prison.
After graduating the Basic Correctional Officer Academy in May 2007, Stockton assumed her new position at Avenal. She remained at the prison until retiring in November 2017.
She is survived by her husband, three children, 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
“Please keep the family and friends of Mary in your thoughts during this difficult time,” according to a statement issued by the prison.
The memorial service will begin at 9 am, June 30, at Phipps-Dale Funeral Chapel, 420 West D Street, Lemoore. The funeral service will immediately follow at Lemoore Cemetery, 1441 North Lemoore Avenue.
