Recruiters from Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison (SATF) joined forces with Corcoran State Prison (COR) for the Central Valley Hiring Workshop. Other institutions supporting the July 26 effort included Pleasant Valley State Prison and Central California Women’s Facility.

The workshop provided information on current employment opportunities, salary and benefits. Staff also assisted with helping job-seekers create CalCareer accounts, assessed qualifications and held job interviews. In all, over 200 candidates attended the workshop.

SATF Correctional Lieutenants J. Sanchez and B. Urban along with COR Sergeants M. Contreras and C. Rodriguez provided peace officer career information. They also answered questions about working for CDCR.

SATF Warden Theresa Cisneros and COR Warden (A) Tammy Campbell joined recruiters for the Central Valley workshop, speaking to many candidates about the benefits of joining CDCR.
