CDCR hiring workshops streamline application process

Next event set for August 25

CDCR is hiring. The department’s Specialized Recruitment and Outreach Unit is holding a series of hiring workshops throughout the state, with the next set for August 25 in Susanville.

From 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., attendees will learn about the many careers available at CDCR, including:

  • Carpenters
  • Electricians
  • Electronics technicians
  • Groundskeepers
  • Laundry supervisors
  • Librarians
  • Maintenance mechanics
  • Painters
  • Pest control technicians
  • Plumbers
  • Supervising cooks

Same-day exams and interviews are available. Attendees will learn about vacancies, salaries, and benefits, and can get help setting up their CalCareers account.

The workshop will be held at High Desert State Prison, 475-750 Rice Canyon Road, Susanville. Register here.
