Correctional Officer Joseph Escajeda passed away Sunday, September 25, 2022.
He started his CDCR career at San Quentin State Prison in March 2020.
“Officer Escajeda was best known for his positive and cheerful attitude. He will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him,” according to a statement issued by San Quentin.
