Jeff Rhoden, former Prison Canteen Manager, passes away

Jefferson "Jeff" Rhoden.

Jefferson “Jeff” Rhoden passed away October 6, 2022. He began his career with the Department of Corrections in 2001 at San Quentin State Prison as a Materials and Stores Supervisor.

Rhoden subsequently transferred to California State Prison-Solano in May 2004, later promoting to Materials and Stores Supervisor II, and Property Controller II.

Rhoden also served as Prison Canteen Manager II from 2017 until his separation from state service in February 2022.

“Jeff was always pleasant and respectful to all staff and inmates alike. Jeff was an integral part of our CSP-Solano family, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Please continue to keep the Rhoden family in your thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time,” according to a statement issued by CSP-Solano.

He is survived by his wife, four children, three grandchildren, mother, and brother.

As a Navy veteran, he will have military funeral honors in a private ceremony. His final resting place will be at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon.
