Lenore Ashton, a retired Medical Technical Assistant (MTA), passed away October 26, 2022. She worked for CDCR for 28 years before retiring in 2014.
Ashton was a licensed vocational nurse in New York when she relocated to California in 1986. She began with CDCR in September 1986 as an MTA at California Medical Facility in Vacaville.
In July 1992, she transferred to CSP-Solano. She returned to CMF in December 1993. In 2007, she transferred to the Department of State Hospitals at CMF. She retired in October 2014.
“Our deepest condolences are extended to the Ashton family as they mourn the loss of their loved one. Please continue to keep the Ashton family in your thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time,” according to a statement issued by CMF.
A viewing will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church, 185 Chandler Street, Vacaville, on Nov. 14 from 9 to 11 a.m. A funeral service will immediately follow. Interment will be held at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.
