The Richard A McGee Correctional Training Center (CTC) staff and cadets partnered with Galt Police and Consumes Fire to give back to the community.

Throughout the last month, CTC collected hundreds of toys, bikes, and gift cards for under-privileged children in the Galt community.

Delta Company Commander Sgt. S. Andrews was surprised when each cadet in Delta Company brought a gift to donate.

“It was a nice surprise and a great feeling to see my cadets come together as a team to give back to children in need,” said Sgt. Andrews.

Captain J. Moeckly thanked training center staff and cadets for their generosity.

“These donations will go to over 500 children and help make someone’s holiday a little brighter. It is a humbling act to give back to the community we work in, and I appreciate everyone who participated,” Moeckly said.
