Correctional Officer Eduardo Arreola, 38, passed away Jan. 24, 2023. He began his CDCR career in October 2016 at the Basic Correctional Officer Academy. After graduating, he reported to Ironwood State Prison, where he remained until his passing.
“He was a hardworking man who loved his family and his Ironwood state Prison family. His dream was to become a Correctional Officer to be able to provide a good life for his family. Please join us in keeping his family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Our deepest condolences are extended to the Arreola family, as they mourn the loss of their loved one. He earned the respect of all who knew him and will be greatly missed,” according to a statement issued by the prison.
