According to organizers, the Salinas Valley State Prison (SVSP) event recognizing Patient Safety Week was a success, with hundreds taking part.

“The staff turnout was amazing. Not only were we celebrating Patient Safety Week, but we also celebrated Staff Safety as well.  All SVSP staff work tirelessly year round, to not only make sure our patient population is safe, but also to make sure our staff population is safe as well,” said Gregory Rico, Chief Quality and Patient Safety Officer. “The staff at SVSP are truly amazing and I could not imagine working at another institution without all of you.”
