Derek Hall, a Materials and Stores Supervisor at High Desert State Prison, passed away May 28, 2023.
He began his career with CDCR for the California Prison Industry Authority as a Custodian I in March 2021. He promoted to his current position in April 2023 at High Desert State Prison.
“Derek loved the outdoors. Fishing, hunting and bird hunting. Our sincerest condolences are extended to the Hall family, friends, co-workers, and loved ones during this time of loss,” according to a statement issued by the institution.
