William Hughes, a retired correctional officer, passed away June 6, 2023.
He began his correctional officer career in November 1982 at California Institution for Men.
Hughes retired in January 2003.
“We wish to extend our thoughts and prayers to all family and friends during this difficult time. The family has requested private services with only immediate family present,” according to a statement issued by the institution.
