CCWF salutes fallen officers in Madera County

Central California Women’s Facility (CCWF) attended the 16th Annual Madera County Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony. Representing CCWF were Warden Anissa De La Cruz and the CCWF Central Valley Honor Guard. The event is a combined command of law enforcement, honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

“The Law Enforcement Memorial is a solemn and honorable tribute. It recognizes the brave men and women who have dedicated their lives to serving and protecting our communities,” said De La Cruz. “It is an opportunity to honor those officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, as well as to show support for their families and loved ones. We will forever remember and honor their courage, commitment, and sacrifice.”

This service was located at Madera Courthouse Park. During the order of ceremony, CCWF Honor Guard gave the presentation of Taps during the combined efforts. There were 15 families represented and honored for the fallen while on duty for 2022.

Madera County Sheriff Tyson Pogue gave the Message of Remembrance. He honored current and past fallen officers who made the ultimate sacrifice.
