Michael “Mikey” Lopez Jr., a correctional officer at Kern Valley State Prison, passed away July 19, 2023.
He began his career at Kern Valley State Prison in February 2015.
“We extend our most sincere condolences to his family,” according to a statement issued by the institution. “He will be greatly missed by all.”
