Alan Ponla, a registered nurse at California Institution for Men (CIM), passed away July 30, 2023. He worked for CDCR for 17 years.
Ponla began his CDCR career in March 2006 at CIM. He briefly transferred to California Institution for Women in 2014, but returned to CIM the following year.
“Our sincerest condolences are extended to the Ponla family, friends, co-workers, and loved ones during this time of loss,” according to a statement issued by the institution.
