Alan Garrison, a retired correctional officer, passed away July 30, 2023.
His most recent assignment was at North Kern State Prison.
“Alan was a trusting partner and a friend to many. He was also a loving and thoughtful husband and father. Alan will be deeply missed by all who had the opportunity to know and work with him,” according to a statement issued by North Kern State Prison.
“At this time of mourning, please keep the Garrison family in your thoughts and prayers,” the statement continued.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Aug. 12 at First Missionary Baptist Church, 1421 Wilson Ave., Bakersfield. A reception will follow.
