Esther Henderson, a retired correctional officer, passed away Aug. 10, 2023.
Before retiring, she worked at North Kern State Prison.
“Esther was a trusting partner and a friend to many. Esther will be deeply missed by all who had the opportunity to know and work with her. At this time of mourning, please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers,” according to a statement issued by the institution.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 21, at St. Peter Restoration Community Christian Ministries, 510 E. Brundage Ln., Bakersfield.
