Correctional Officer Marcus Winkfield, a 17-year CDCR employee, passed away Aug. 17, 2023.
Winkfield began his CDCR career in February 2006 as a correctional officer at Salinas Valley State Prison. Three years later, he reported to Mule Creek State Prison, where he remained until his passing.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Winkfield family, friends, and co-workers during this time of mourning,” according to a statement issued by Mule Creek State Prison.
