The California native began his CDCR career at CSP-Corcoran in May 2007 as a Carpenter II.

Carrol promoted to Supervisor of Building Trades in January 2010. In August 2013, he promoted again to Correctional Plant Supervisor.

“Jeff is instantly missed by everyone who knew him. Jeff had a wealth of knowledge that enabled him to excel within the Department. He was also known to lend an ear and give some advice for those needing it. As most staff know, Jeff was the guy that ‘kept the lights on’ for the prison,” according to a statement issued by CSP-Corcoran. “Over the years, Jeff played a critical role in keeping Corcoran functioning through the countless times issues arose at the prison. Jeff will also be remembered for being a hardworking man, with a fun sense of humor, as well as his dedication to his family. He was a pleasure to be around.
