CIW promotes employee health

The California Institution for Women (CIW) Return to Work (RTW) Office recently hosted the annual Employee Health Fair. Themed, “Partner up for Health,” the fair provided staff information on health-focused services.

Information provided included:

  • health insurance
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • California Correctional Peace Officers Association (CCPOA)
  • financial
  • physical health
  • and more.

A massage therapist, dentists, and a variety of vendors passed out samples and spoke to employees.

There were also prizes for those attending the fair.

  • Prizes included gift cards to Lowe’s and Starbucks
  • tools
  • gift baskets
  • and an ice chest filled with NFL merchandise.

Employees enjoyed a lunch of tacos, burritos, mulitas and more for sale and smoothies from the local Juice It Up.

“Staff said it was great to get the chance to congregate with coworkers, eat, and enjoy the fair,” according to organizers.

The CIW Employee Health Fair was held Sept. 28.
