Cassie Hoover, retired licensed vocational nurse, passed away Oct. 5, 2023.
She began her CDCR, CCHCS career at California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison (SATF) in November 2006.
She remained at the facility until retiring in July 2014.
According to her family, “Cassie loved her career as a nurse starting at Sierra View District Hospital and then at (SATF).”
She was a lifelong resident of Porterville.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Hoover family during this time of mourning,” according to a statement issued by the institution.
She is survived by her parents, brother, two sons, and one grandchild.
A memorial service was held Nov. 4 in Porterville.
