Retired Correctional Officer Jaime Arredondo passed away Oct. 21, 2023. He worked for the department for 27 years.
He began his career with the department at the California Youth Authority at Heman G. Stark Youth Correctional Facility in 1990. Later the same year, he transferred to California Institution for Men, where he remained until retiring in 2017.
“He will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing and working side by side with him. Our sincerest condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time,”according to a statement issued by the institution.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 1, 2023, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial, 11500 Arlington Ave., Riverside.
