Awards and Appreciation, Beyond the Badge

HDSP hosts annual Staff Appreciation Day

Games, such as corn hole, were enjoyed during the HDSP Staff Appreciation Day.

High Desert State Prison (HDSP) recently celebrated Staff Appreciation Day to recognize their hard work in all areas.

In addition to their everyday dedication, HDSP staff have shown their ability to adapt to the department’s evolving mission.

HDSP’s Administration team organized the event, serving food to approximately 1,000 employees throughout the institution.

Various areas collaborated to build gift baskets, allowing staff to participate in drawings. HDSP made sure to include all staff and first watch employees were entered into the drawings as well. Staff played games, won door prizes and enjoyed spending time with coworkers.

Managers arrived at the institution in the early morning hours, offering breakfast to first watch staff in all program areas. Then they cooked and served lunch to second and third watch staff.
