Heather Chraska, a retired correctional officer, passed away March 29, 2024.

She began her career with the department in 1998 at Deuel Vocational Institution in Tracy. She remained at Deuel until she retired in July 2021.

“Heather will be greatly missed by all who knew her and worked with her,” according to a statement issued by California Health Care Facility.

Services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, April 8, at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca.
