California Health Care Facility (CHCF) held a staff appreciation barbecue on May 17 to recognize the hard work in all areas and shifts.
In barbecue was held in honor of:
- National Correctional Officers Week
- Teacher Appreciation Week
- and National Nurses Week.
The CHCF executive management team and supervisors organized the staff appreciation barbecue. Together, they served food to approximately 2,700 employees throughout the institution.
Managers arrived at the institution in the early morning and stayed past midnight as they fired-up the grills.
All second, third, and first watch staff were treated to cheeseburgers, chips, desserts and beverages.
California Correctional Supervisors Organization headquarters and the local California Correctional Peace Officers Association also attended. They answered questions, passed out swag and mingled with staff.
“It was a great bonding experience. It’s great to see the CHCF team come together to show appreciation to our hard-working staff. A big thank you to everyone who volunteered and donated. It couldn’t have been possible without everyone’s help,” according to a statement issued by organizers.
