Avenal State Prison (ASP) hosted an appreciation lunch to honor the vital contributions of the incarcerated-person advisory council (IAC).
The event highlighted the successful collaboration between the ASP executive health care leadership team and the patient population they serve.
The ASP celebration recognized the essential role the advisory council plays in fostering open communication and partnership within the institution.

During the event, ASP leadership presented the advisory council leaders with certificates of appreciation.
“The collaboration between health care and the patient population, represented by the IAC, is instrumental in ensuring that the health care needs and concerns of the incarcerated individuals are heard and addressed effectively,” said Jaron Nash, Avenal State Prison Chief Executive Officer.

Following the presentation of certificates, IAC leaders joined the health care executive leadership team for a special lunch. The gathering provided a positive environment for both teams to celebrate their shared achievements. It also highlights the spirit of cooperation that helps improve the quality of life and health care services at ASP.
This event is part of ASP’s ongoing commitment to rehabilitation and fostering a constructive environment for all who live and work within the institution.
