Sharon Vanderploeg, retired licensed vocational nurse, recently passed away. Her date of passing was not provided.

She began her career with the department as a medical technical assistant in November 1996 at Ironwood State Prison.
In January 2007, she transferred to the classification of licensed vocational nurse at Ironwood. By August of the same year, she transferred to Chuckawalla Valley State Prison. She remained at the institution until retiring in September 2009.
