Ricky Rocha, a correctional officer at North Kern State Prison, passed away June 5, 2024.
Rocha began his career with CDCR in December 2014 at the Richard A. McGee Correctional Training Center.
After graduating the Basic Correctional Officer Academy, he reported to North Kern State Prison, where he remained until his passing.
“Ricky was a trusting partner and a friend to many. He was a loving and thoughtful husband and father. Ricky will be deeply missed by all who had the opportunity to know and work with him. At this time of mourning, please keep the Rocha family in your thoughts and prayers,” according to a statement issued by the institution.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 28, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, 2739 Panama Lane, Bakersfield. The services will be held at the Celebration of Life Center, Building D, on cemetery grounds
