The California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility (SATF) and State Prison at Corcoran, along with the Chicano Correctional Workers Association (CCWA), awarded four $500 scholarships to local students. The recipients received the scholarships as part of an essay-writing contest submitted to the CCWA.
The 2024 CCWA scholarship recipients are Miah Campos, Sieanna Ruiz, Ariana Delatorre, and Rylen Christopher. They were presented their scholarship checks by acting Warden Peggy Llamas and CCWA leaders.
