Gayle Schoville, a retired correctional officer from Ironwood State Prison, passed away July 14, 2024.

She began her career as a cadet at the Basic Correctional officer Academy in November 1993. After graduating, she reported to Ironwood State Prison in January 1994.
Schoville remained at Ironwood until retiring in December 2013. She was also a veteran of the US Coast Guard.
“She will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Our sincerest condolences to her family and friends during this difficult time,” according to a statement issued by the institution.
Information regarding funeral services have not been announced.
