

Erick Trupp, a retired correctional officer, passed away July 21, 2024, at the age of 53. He worked for CDCR for 28 years.
Trupp began his career with the department in January 1994 as a cadet at the Basic Correctional Officer Academy. After graduating the following month, he reported to Calipatria State Prison.
He transferred to California State Prison, Corcoran, in October 1995 where he remained until retiring in July 2021.
Trupp was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Lemoore as well as E Clampus Vitus, better known as the Clampers.
He enjoyed camping, video games, and spending time with family and friends. He was an avid reader and had a passion for cooking.
“Erick will be missed by all those who knew him,” according to a statement issued by the institution. “Our deepest condolences to the Trupp family as they mourn the loss of their loved one.”
He is survived by his wife, two children, his parents, and a brother.
