Janice Hatch, a retired office assistant from California Men’s Colony in San Luis Obispo, passed away Aug. 21, 2024.

She began her CDCR career at the institution as an office assistant in March 2005. She then transferred to Regional Accounting and promoted to office technician with California State Parks.
She returned to California Men’s Colony in January 2014, where she remained until retiring in March 2022.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Hatch family during this time of mourning,” according to a statement issued by the institution.
Details regarding services have not been provided.
