SATF hosts inter‑facility softball game

SATF softball game with incarcerated players and staff posing for a group photo.

The Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison at Corcoran (SATF) hosted an inter-facility softball game on Facility G.

Incarcerated teams from Facilities F and G played a friendly game of softball. The California Model Resource Team was present and relieved G Facility staff from their posts so they could go outside and enjoy the game.

There were many smiles on the faces of the G Facility staff as they got a break to cheer on their team and relax a little. In the end, the Facility F team remains undefeated and retains their Top Dawg championship belt.

Acting Warden Raul Morales and Associate Director Bryan D. Phillips commended the SATF California Model staff as well as Facilities F and G managers, supervisors, and staff for all their hard work.

“SATF would like to thank the entire California Model team and all staff who support the California Model at SATF. It is days like yesterday when we can see major shifts in our staff morale and brighten the atmosphere at SATF,” organizers said.
