Charles White, a correctional officer at High Desert State Prison in Susanville, passed away Oct. 12, 2024.

He began his career with the department in April 1994.

“Charles dedicated 30 years and nine months to CDCR. Our deepest condolences are extended to his family and friends during this difficult time. Information pertaining to funeral services are pending and will be made available at a later date,” according to a statement issued by High Desert State Prison.
