Michelle Harris, a retired registered nurse, passed away Oct. 14, 2024. She worked for the department for 22 years.

She began her correctional career as a registered nurse at California Medical Facility (CMF), Vacaville, in June 2002. Haris remained at the institution until she retired in May 2024.
“Michelle was highly respected by her peers and a well-loved member of the CMF family. Our deepest condolences are extended to Michelle’s family and friends as they mourn the loss of their loved one. Michelle will be greatly missed,” according to a statement issued by the institution.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 5 at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road in Dixon.
