Humberto Escobedo, supervising grounds keeper II at California Institution for Women, passed away Oct. 28, 2024.
Escobedo began his CDCR career in January 2019 as a groundskeeper at California Rehabilitation Center in Norco. He promoted to lead groundskeeper at California Institution for Women in February 2022. Escobedo then promoted to supervising groundskeeper II in October 2023.
He is survived by his wife and two children.
“Humberto was respected by his peers, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Our sincerest condolences go out to his family,” according to a statement issued by the institution.
