CDCR recruiters are engaging with military personnel and veterans across California to promote correctional officer careers.
Peace Officer Recruitment teams attended six airshows between July and October, connecting with thousands of potential candidates.
Recruiters attended the following:
- California Capital Airshow
- Central Coast AirFest
- Miramar Airshow
- California International Airshow
- Pacific Airshow
- and San Francisco Fleet Week.
Recruitment teams came from six CDCR facilities ranging from Vacaville to San Luis Obispo and San Quentin to San Diego.
The collective effort showcased CDCR’s dedication to supporting military personnel transitioning to civilian careers. The response was overwhelmingly positive.
“We were met with a variety of high-quality visitors,” said Officer Martinez from RJ Donovan. “They were extremely interested in joining our department.”
CDCR supports veteran, military communities
By actively seeking military and veteran applicants, CDCR demonstrates its appreciation for their service and dedication. The department also recognizes the valuable skills and experience veterans bring to the table.
This initiative emphasizes the department’s commitment to providing veterans with fulfilling career opportunities in law enforcement.
Military members and veterans interested in serving and protecting California communities, are invited to consider joining CDCR’s ranks.
Your experience and dedication are highly valued, and CDCR is committed to supporting your transition to a civilian career.
