Pelican Bay State Prison officially kicked off the Our Promise campaign with a special Nov. 1 event.
The campaign launch also served as a celebration of team spirit through National Jersey Day.

Staff gathered in the Administration building, assisting employees with sign-ups, guiding them through the process of Our Promise.
“Our team was eager to engage with staff, providing information on various ways to support this initiative,” said organizers. “It was heartwarming to see the enthusiasm and interest. Many joined in to learn about how to make a difference.”
Simultaneously, we celebrated National Jersey Day, creating a fun atmosphere of camaraderie. Our non-uniformed staff proudly wore their favorite sports jerseys, while those in uniform sported hats representing their beloved teams.
“The blending of these activities fostered a sense of unity and joy, making it a memorable day,” organizers said. “To further support our staff, we provided a laptop station equipped with information about the Our Promise Campaign. This resource allowed everyone to deepen their understanding of the campaign’s mission and goals. They also learn how their contributions can make a meaningful impact. We encourage everyone to take advantage of these resources as the campaign progresses.”
Organizers promised the kickoff event is just the beginning.
