Tony Lamson, a correctional sergeant at the Correctional Training Facility at Soledad, passed away Dec. 22, 2024.
Lamson began his career with the department in November 1995 as a cadet at the Basic Correctional Officer Academy.
After graduation, he reported to the Correctional Training Facility in February 1996. He promoted to sergeant in December 2002.
According to the institution, Lamson had been on extended time off since 2018.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Jan. 6, 2025, at the Herberger Family Elk Grove Funeral Chapel, 9101 Elk Grove Blvd.
