CDCR Secretary Jeff Macomber took time to visit the Substance Abuse Treatment Facility (SATF) and State Prison at Corcoran.
During the visit, Secretary Macomber met with the SATF executive team, answering questions they might have.
“It was a great discussion (with) ideas presented to for possibly simplifying tasks at the institutional level,” said an executive.
After the meeting, the secretary toured SATF and met with the California Model Resource Team. He also met some individuals whose participation with the team has prepared them for life after incarceration.
Ending the tour, Secretary Macomber visited staff and incarcerated individuals on Facility E to learn more about their efforts regarding the California Model.
They explained how much they have enjoyed expressing their excitement in their newest mural painting called Progressive Road.
Acting Warden Raul Morales was thankful for the visit and being able to show how SATF is leading by example.
